SourceRank AI vs Blend: which should you hire?
Blend was named in 3.9% of answers on our own tracked set of 100 buying questions, which makes them sixth most-named in our set, and named across 15 distinct questions. Here is what each of us actually sells, what each costs, and where they are the better choice than us.

Why companies choose SourceRank AI over Blend
AEO is not a menu item here
On their site AEO is one line inside one of five service lines. It is the only thing we do.
You can start at $497
A one-time audit tells you whether this is even a problem for you before anyone signs a retainer.
The measurement is the product
You get the question set, the engines, the runs and the variance, not a summary of them.
What Blend actually is
A growth partner for private-equity-backed B2B companies, selling across five lines: websites and brand, marketing and content, sales and contracting, customer success, and HubSpot services. Their framing is growth engineering, treating the revenue lifecycle as one connected machine, and they run a governed knowledge base called BlendCore that feeds the AI tools a client's team already uses. Offices in Reading in the UK and Atlanta, and they cite more than 300 client companies.
What they say they deliver
- Websites and brand: design, development, messaging
- Marketing and content, including SEO, PPC, social and video
- Sales and contracting: process design, enablement, CPQ, RevOps
- Customer success: churn prevention, expansion, advocacy
- HubSpot implementation, integrations and managed services

Everything in the Blend column was read from their own public pages on 18 September 2026. "Not published" means exactly that: we could not find it stated publicly, not that it does not exist. If we have something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
Where Blend is the better choice
Breadth, and the private-equity angle specifically. If the problem is that marketing, sales and customer success are three disconnected systems, that is the thing they are built to fix and we are not. They are also deep in HubSpot, which matters a lot if your revenue stack lives there. AEO being one line on their menu cuts both ways: less depth on AI visibility, far more coverage of everything around it.
Who each one is right for
Choose Blend if: PE-backed mid-market companies wanting one partner across website, marketing, sales and customer success, especially on HubSpot.
Choose SourceRank AI if: Companies whose problem is specifically that AI assistants do not name them, and who want that measured and fixed.
If you are not sure you need either, our buying guide sets out what to ask any AEO provider, and who we are not a fit for is deliberately blunt about when to walk away from us.
How we counted who AI names
Every share-of-answers figure on this page comes from one published run: 100 unbranded buying questions, run on 12 September 2026 across 5 answer engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews), producing 485 answers. We counted how often each provider was named in the answer text itself.
Two caveats we would want if we were reading this. It measures our question set, so it describes who gets recommended for the questions we track, not who is best at the work. And one run carries noise: we have seen an identical question set move by a point between runs three days apart, which is why we re-measure on a cadence instead of quoting a single number. The full method is at our benchmark methodology.
Common questions
Can SourceRank AI do everything Blend does?
No, and it would be dishonest to say otherwise. Breadth, and the private-equity angle specifically. What we do is narrower and deeper: AEO as the only service, priced openly, measured on a fixed question set across five engines. If the wider scope is what you need, hire them.
How often do AI assistants actually name Blend?
On our own tracked set of 100 unbranded buying questions run across 5 answer engines on 12 September 2026, Blend was named in 19 of 485 answers, or 3.9%, across 15 distinct questions. That makes them sixth most-named in our set, and named across 15 distinct questions. It measures our question set rather than ranking agencies, and a different question set would give different numbers.
How does pricing compare with Blend?
Not published for them. SourceRank AI publishes every tier: a $497 one-time AI Visibility Audit, credited against your first month, then $997, $1,700 or $2,500 a month depending on scope. The audit exists so you can find out whether AI visibility is even a problem for you before committing to anything monthly.
How do I know the measurement is real and not marketing?
Because you can check it. We publish the method: how many questions, which engines, how often a run repeats, and how much a number moves between runs on an identical question set. We have seen an identical set move by a point in three days, and we say so, because a provider who only ever shows you the good run is not showing you a measurement.
What if my buyers' questions do not return any provider at all?
That happens more than people expect. On a meaningful share of questions every engine answers with a do-it-yourself walkthrough and names nobody. Nobody can win those, and any agency quoting you a score without separating them is averaging in questions that cannot move. We check that first, and if your category is mostly unwinnable today we will tell you rather than sell you a retainer.
Can I use Blend and SourceRank AI together?
Usually yes, and for the wider-scope work it can make sense. The one thing to avoid is paying two providers to do the same off-site citation work, because the effort does not stack, it collides. If you are already working with them, say so on the call and we will tell you honestly whether we would be adding anything.
Start by finding out where you actually stand
Before hiring anyone, including us, find out whether your buying questions return a provider at all and who is named instead of you today. That is what the $497 audit answers, and it is credited against your first month if you carry on. Get your visibility scorecard, or see every comparison.
